Shih Ya Tien is an independent curator and art writer based in Taipei. Her curatorial research centers on the concept of participation, exploring the dynamic relationship between the environment, exhibition space, and the artwork within her practice\u2014often materialized through archival or documentary display formats. She regards curating as a mechanism, a proposition, and a platform through which to engage with discussions on digital culture, and environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She holds an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA in Chinese Literature from National Tsing Hua University. Her curatorial projects are often presented through exhibitions, workshops, websites, publications, and radio programs. Recent projects include Can We All Fit In?<\/em> at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, and the international touring project Put \u2019Em in a Box<\/em>.
